What These XRP Whales Are Doing Stuns XRP Army

XRP has had a turbulent stretch. The token dropped from $1.34 to $1.15 over recent days, rattling retail confidence. But as smaller investors pulled back, a different group moved in quietly.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez (@alicharts) shared data showing that whale wallets accumulated more than 16.46 million XRP during that five-day slide.

The post showed a bar chart sourced from Santiment, tracking total XRP held by whale wallets from November 4 through November 7. The holdings climbed steadily, rising from roughly 6.32 billion tokens to 6.35 billion. “Price is falling. Whales are buying,” he wrote.

XRP WHALES ARE BUYING THE DIP

While $XRP dropped from $1.34 to $1.15, large entities went on a buying spree.

Over the past five days, whales accumulated more than 16.46 million XRP.

The Midterm Election Sell-Off

The price decline connects directly to the U.S. midterm elections held on November 3. Democrats swept both chambers of Congress, defeating Republican candidates in key races including surprise victories in Texas. Crypto markets reacted with uncertainty.

XRP had already lost 16% in October. It entered November under pressure, sitting below key technical resistance at $1.50. The Democratic sweep added regulatory concern to an already weak setup. Investors worried that crypto-friendly legislation would stall under a divided or Democrat-controlled Congress.

The CLARITY Act, a bill designed to establish a clear regulatory structure for digital assets, had already failed to advance in the Senate. The midterm results raised fresh doubts about its path forward, and that uncertainty hit sentiment surrounding XRP significantly. XRP trades at $1.16, down 7.52% from last week.

Whale Accumulation and What it Signals

Whale behavior during price declines carries significance. When large holders accumulate as price falls, it often reflects confidence in the asset’s value at current levels. The Santiment data Martinez highlighted shows consistent buying across five consecutive days, not a single spike.

The number of wallets holding at least 1 million XRP also reached a 2026 high during this period, with 28 new large holders entering in just 10 days. Whale holdings rose from 2.35 billion to 2.63 billion XRP between November 3 and November 5.

Tokens moving off exchanges and into storage reinforce this picture. That shift typically reflects holders planning to hold rather than sell.

A Setup for Recovery

XRP has struggled to reclaim $1.30, the level it lost ahead of the election. A close back above that level would signal a shift in momentum. Whale accumulation during a price drop does not guarantee a rebound.

But it does show that large, informed participants see value at these levels. That alone gives the current setup a foundation that the price action alone does not reflect.
