Top Exchange: Keep Your Eyes Open for XRP. Dump Comes Before Rebound

The crypto market was already under stress when exchange Bitrue posted a note to its followers this week.
It stated, “Before every rebound comes a dump.” The post referenced XRP specifically, asking the community to keep their eyes open.
Bitrue’s message has drawn significant attention due to a recent sharp decline that had pushed the token below the $1.25 level.

A Market Already on Edge
The sell-off did not start with XRP. On October 29, hackers allegedly linked to North Korea stole more than $6 billion from Binance in what analysts called the largest crypto hack in history. Binance halted trading as the breach unfolded.
Fredrick Collins, CEO and co-founder of crypto data platform Velo Data, said the hack rumors drove coin prices down directly, explaining that Binance’s dominance in the space means any blow to confidence in the exchange ripples across the entire market.
Bitcoin fell below $76,500, and the overall crypto market dropped 2.2% to $2.61 trillion at its lowest point.
XRP Takes the Hit
XRP fell 17% in its sharpest one-day drop since 2025, crashing below $1.25 and pushing weekly losses to nearly 30%. Its market cap fell to $75 billion, down sharply. The Watcher.Guru account on X summarized the damage, noting that BTC dropped under $66k, ETH, fell under $2,250, XRP fell under $1.25 and SOL dropped below $95.
XRP had already entered a consolidation phase after the surge at the end of September. The drop appeared driven by overall market sentiment rather than any XRP-specific issue.
XRP Army Responds
The reaction across the XRP community was mixed. Some users pushed back hard on Bitrue, with one calling the people behind the exchange pathetic. Another dismissed the post entirely, saying no one believed what Bitrue was putting out.
Not everyone was negative on XRP’s prospects. One user argued that XRP had held up better than most other tokens relative to the rest of the market. He suggested it was beginning to break out of its downtrend, with resistance levels at $1.50, $2.10, and $2.40 ahead.
Another shared that patience is a key quality in markets like this. He noted that the best opportunities often appear when market conditions test investor conviction.
What Comes Next?
Analysts noted that even the collapse of FTX in 2022, a larger event than the Binance breach, dealt only a short-lived blow to the market. Stabilization followed within days, and the market is already finding its footing with analysts still making bullish predictions for the end of the year.
