David Schwartz Says “Time to Get On the XRP Train”, XRP Army Reacts

The XRP community is paying close attention to the people at the top of Ripple right now.

David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO Emeritus, posted a photo on X showing himself alongside Ayo Akinyele, Head of Engineering at Ripple X. He added the caption: “Time to get on the XRP Train.”

The image featured an XRP branded train at  the Times Square 42nd Street station in New York, the city hosting Ripple Swell 2026. His activity comes at a significant moment for the company. The community has taken notice.

Swell, the Charter, and a Year of Progress

Ripple’s annual Swell conference is currently underway, and the timing could hardly be more significant. Shortly before the event, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granted final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank.

The OCC had issued a conditional approval in December 2025, and the final sign-off arrived on October 26. The bank will manage reserves behind RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin, which now holds $2.5 billion in assets. It will also provide digital asset custody services to institutional clients under federal supervision.

2026 has been a productive year for Ripple beyond the charter. Ripple Prime, rebranded from Hidden Road after a $1.25 billion acquisition, went live in March and now processes roughly $3 trillion in annual clearing volume.

Multiple spot XRP ETFs are live, with combined assets under management exceeding $1.5 billion. Deutsche Bank adopted Ripple for cross-border payments, and Kyoto Life Insurance began tokenizing government bonds through Ripple Custody.

Schwartz Posts as Momentum Builds

Against this backdrop, Schwartz has been active on X. His post drew engagement from a community that has been watching Ripple’s regulatory and institutional progress build across the year. The ongoing Swell conference has added urgency to the conversation, with many in the community treating the charter approval as a turning point.

How the Community Responded

Responses from the XRP community ranged from enthusiastic to cautious. One community member questioned whether the train had already left the station, suggesting some felt the major move had begun.

Another said he made it onto the XRP train, indicating he had successfully positioned herself ahead of recent developments. One member noted that the XRP train had finally departed, treating the bullish sentiment and recent developments as the long-awaited catalysts.

Some others shared images of themselves in trains, suggesting they’re invested in the asset. Time will tell if XRP can meet their expectations.
