Bitcoin ETFs Attract $75M; XRP Funds Post Zero Inflows Amid Fed Rate Cut Outlook

TL;DR

  • Bitcoin ETF Flows: Bitcoin ETFs recorded $74.6 million in net inflows on Nov. 4, ending three straight sessions of withdrawals totaling $1.16 billion, with Fidelity leading gains despite continued BlackRock outflows.
  • Fed Outlook: Goldman Sachs pushed its expected Federal Reserve rate cuts to December 2026 and March 2027, citing persistent inflation pressures and a labor market that remains resilient.
  • XRP Funds: XRP ETFs posted zero net inflows on Nov. 3, and preliminary Nov. 4 data showed no creations or redemptions, despite Ripple expanding institutional partnerships and regulated financial services.

Bitcoin ETFs returned to positive territory on Nov. 4 as Bitcoin climbed back above $81,000 following a recent pullback. At the same time, uncertainty over future Federal Reserve rate cuts remained in focus after Goldman Sachs delayed its expected timeline for policy easing. The shift in macroeconomic expectations arrived just as Bitcoin ETFs snapped a three-session streak of investor withdrawals.

Bitcoin ETF Demand Rebounds

Bitcoin ETFs attracted $74.6 million in net inflows, recovering from three consecutive sessions of outflows that totaled $1.16 billion. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund led the turnaround with approximately $236.7 million in fresh capital. Other funds also posted gains. Bitwise’s BITB added $15.2 million, and ARK Invest’s ARKB brought in $19.9 million. Collectively, Bitcoin ETFs ended a period of sustained selling pressure that had weighed on the sector in recent sessions.

Not every product participated in the recovery. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust recorded $201.2 million in outflows, extending its losing streak to four sessions and bringing cumulative withdrawals during that stretch to $935 million. These mixed results showed that Bitcoin ETFs continued to attract selective rather than broad-based institutional demand.

Federal Reserve Expectations Shift

The recovery in crypto markets came after Bitcoin rebounded from a seven-week low near $75,600 during the Nov. 3 election period. Bitcoin ETFs benefited from the improved market backdrop as the asset moved back above $80,000. However, Goldman Sachs revised its monetary policy outlook, now expecting Federal Reserve rate cuts in December 2026 and March 2027.

The bank cited concerns that energy costs could keep core personal consumption expenditures inflation near 3% throughout the year. Economist David Mericle said lower inflation readings and additional labor market softening would likely be needed before any earlier policy easing. As a result, Bitcoin ETFs may continue to face an environment shaped by uncertain interest-rate expectations.

XRP Funds Remain Stagnant

Unlike Bitcoin ETFs, XRP funds showed little sign of renewed investment activity. The five tracked XRP ETFs recorded zero net inflows on Nov. 3 after approximately $530,000 in withdrawals the previous day. Preliminary Nov. 4 data also indicated no net inflows or outflows. Cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs remained near $1.81 billion, but recent momentum weakened. Even with Ripple expanding institutional partnerships across banking, custody, stablecoins and payments, demand for XRP investment products has not matched the recent recovery seen in Bitcoin ETFs.
