Ripple President Drops Major Statement On Ripple-Robinhood Partnership

Ripple President Monica Long has described the company’s strategic partnership with Robinhood as an example of its end-to-end strategy, bringing stablecoin settlement, institutional financing, and treasury management together under one arrangement.

The partnership will give Robinhood access to several parts of Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure as the trading platform expands its financial services.

Long explained in her tweet, that the agreement covers both retail and institutional markets, alongside Robinhood’s internal financial operations.

“From bringing RLUSD to retail and institutional markets to helping Robinhood manage its own treasury operations, this partnership reflects growing institutional demand for integrated solutions,” she said in the announcement.

Monica Long Explains the Partnership’s Scope

Long also addressed the agreement in a post on X, stating, “We’re bringing the full power of Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure to @RobinhoodApp.”

Her comments reflect the breadth of the partnership, which extends beyond stablecoin adoption to include treasury automation and financing services. Rather than focusing on a single product, the arrangement connects multiple Ripple offerings with Robinhood’s retail and institutional businesses.

Long described the deal as “our end-to-end strategy in action,” emphasizing how Ripple’s products can support different financial functions through one integrated relationship.

RLUSD to Support Retail and Institutional Markets

RLUSD is a central component of the agreement. The stablecoin is already available on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, while its availability through the Robinhood app is expected later this year.

Robinhood will also use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement, extending its use across Bitstamp’s institutional business. This arrangement gives the stablecoin additional distribution opportunities while expanding its role in digital asset settlement.

Ripple Treasury and Prime Expand the Agreement

The partnership also covers Robinhood’s internal treasury operations. The company will integrate Ripple Treasury to automate and modernize cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, payments, risk management, and intercompany netting.

Ripple Prime will provide another layer of institutional support. Building on the existing relationship between the companies, the service provides Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across approximately 20 digital assets. Ripple Prime clients can also access spot trading on Bitstamp, with perpetual futures trading support planned for later this year.

Robinhood Crypto and International Senior Vice President and General Manager Johann Kerbrat said the arrangement would give the companies access to RLUSD for institutional settlement, Ripple Treasury for operational needs, and Ripple Prime for financing.

A Broader Institutional Strategy

Robinhood serves 28.6 million funded customers globally, giving the partnership access to a substantial trading ecosystem. By integrating stablecoin settlement, treasury management, and institutional financing, Ripple is extending its services across several areas of Robinhood’s business.

Long’s comments place the agreement within Ripple’s broader strategy of providing connected financial infrastructure to institutional clients. The partnership also expands RLUSD’s potential reach while creating additional opportunities for its use on the XRP Ledger.
