Pundit to XRP Holders: Read This About SWIFT and XRP Before You Lose Your Conviction

Crypto commentator X Finance Bull believes SWIFT’s latest blockchain developments could strengthen XRP’s position in institutional finance as banks expand their use of tokenized assets and digital currencies.

In a detailed post on X, he connected SWIFT’s new blockchain-based ledger with financial institutions already working with Ripple and the XRP Ledger.

He noted that the growing need for interoperability, cross-currency payments, and liquidity could create opportunities for XRP as traditional finance moves toward tokenization.

SWIFT Confirms Live Transactions With More Than A Dozen Banks

X Finance Bull began by highlighting comments from Jack Pouderoyen, Digital Assets Product Lead at SWIFT, who explained that banks are increasingly tokenizing deposits and financial assets.

Pouderoyen identified interoperability as a major requirement because financial institutions are developing separate blockchain systems that must eventually communicate with one another.

He revealed that SWIFT had made significant progress since announcing its blockchain-based ledger approximately one year earlier. More than a dozen banks had already completed live transactions in a production-grade environment, while another six were expected to participate before the end of the year.

X Finance Bull considers this development important because SWIFT is moving blockchain technology into practical banking operations. He believes the growing number of interconnected financial systems could increase demand for networks capable of supporting efficient asset transfers and settlement.

BNY and Standard Chartered Connect SWIFT With Ripple

The commentator identified BNY and Standard Chartered as particularly important examples of the connections between SWIFT’s initiative and Ripple.

BNY participates in SWIFT’s blockchain program. X Finance Bull also highlighted its October 27, 2026, announcement that its Digital Asset Custody platform supports XRP and RLUSD. BNY additionally serves as a primary reserve custodian for RLUSD.

Standard Chartered is another participant in SWIFT’s initiative and has maintained a relationship with Ripple since 2016. The bank launched institutional RLUSD custody services on the XRP Ledger through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch in October 2026. It is also working with Ripple and LMAX Group on arrangements involving RLUSD as collateral for institutional trading.

X Finance Bull believes these relationships matter because they connect established banking services with digital-asset custody, trading, and settlement.

Tokenized Funds Expand XRPL’s Financial Applications

X Finance Bull also highlighted several projects involving tokenized investment products.

DBS Bank and Franklin Templeton are collaborating with Ripple on tokenized money-market funds and RLUSD. Their initiative includes Franklin Templeton’s sgBENJI fund, with DBS Digital Exchange supporting planned trading arrangements.

He also referenced Aviva Investors’ launch of a tokenized share class of its Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger on October 26, 2026. The wider fund manages approximately £22 billion.

Another example involves Brazilian financial infrastructure provider CSD BR, which is working with Ripple on tokenized representations of investment-fund shares using XRPL’s Multi-Purpose Token standard.

For the commentator, these developments demonstrate how the XRP Ledger is being used in financial applications involving investment funds, asset representation, and digital currencies.

Why XRP’s Liquidity Function Matters

X Finance Bull believes XRP’s strongest opportunity lies in its potential role as an intermediary asset between different currencies.

The XRP Ledger supports native auto-bridging, allowing XRP to facilitate exchanges between two assets when an XRP-based route offers competitive liquidity.

For example, a transaction involving tokenized euros and Brazilian reais could use XRP as an intermediary.

He also discussed Ripple’s collaboration with C2FO through C2FO Instant Pay, which uses XRPL and RLUSD to help approved suppliers access early payments. He connected this development with the growing need for efficient business payments and liquidity management.

However, the commentator’s central argument depends on actual XRP usage. The expansion of tokenized assets does not automatically translate into demand for XRP. Financial institutions and market makers would need to use the asset for currency conversion and settlement to generate meaningful liquidity demand.

X Finance Bull Maintains His Long-Term Conviction

Looking toward 2030, X Finance Bull expects tokenized securities, digital currencies, and institutional settlement services to become increasingly important. He identified actual foreign exchange transactions routed through XRP, additional tokenized currency markets, and expanding institutional custody services as key developments to monitor.

He acknowledged the frustration among XRP holders facing declining prices but maintained that short-term market performance does not fully reflect the asset’s potential.
