Here’s What Just Happened to XRP On Binance

Binance recorded nearly 15 million XRP in net outflows on November 2, while its exchange reserves fell 5.2% over 30 days.

At the same time, XRP Ledger activity reached 36,300 active accounts, presenting two developments that crypto analyst Xaif Crypto considers important for understanding current XRP movements.

The figures show a significant difference between the amount of XRP leaving Binance and the amount entering the exchange. They also come alongside increased account activity on the XRP Ledger, raising questions about where investors are moving their holdings and how they are using the network.

XRP exchange outflows are getting harder to ignore.

Binance recorded a netflow of -14.97M XRP on November 2, with outflows hitting 15.32M against just 341.7K in inflows.

Binance reserves are down 5.2% in 30 days to 2.38B XRP.

Binance Hack Adds Context to the XRP Outflows

The figures come shortly after Binance experienced a major security breach on October 29, 2026. The exchange confirmed that attackers compromised its internal wallet signing infrastructure and transferred approximately $6.34 billion in digital assets across several blockchain networks.

Among the affected assets was XRP. Five Binance hot wallets transferred 233.46 million XRP to an attacker-controlled address within four minutes. Binance subsequently suspended withdrawals while it addressed the security incident and strengthened its wallet infrastructure.

The timing provides important context for the November 2 exchange figures. Binance began restoring withdrawal services in phases, giving users an opportunity to move their assets after the disruption. Some of the XRP outflows could therefore reflect customers transferring their holdings into personal wallets following the breach.

This makes it difficult to interpret the negative netflow as a straightforward sign of investor accumulation. Security concerns and the desire for greater control over personal holdings could also explain the withdrawals.

XRP Ledger Activity Reaches 36,300 Active Accounts

Xaif Crypto also reported increased activity on the XRP Ledger, with active accounts reaching 36,300. The figure adds another dimension to the exchange reserve data because it shows that network activity increased during the same period that Binance recorded substantial XRP outflows.

Some users withdrawing XRP from centralized exchanges may move their holdings into self-custody wallets, creating or activating accounts on the XRP Ledger. Others may use their assets for transfers, decentralized exchange transactions or other network activities.

However, active account growth alone does not establish how many new investors have entered the network or how much additional economic activity those accounts represent. It provides a measure of network participation that requires further context.

XRP Community Reacts to the Exchange Data

XRP HERALD responded to Xaif Crypto’s figures by connecting the declining Binance reserves with increased network activity.

“Outflows like that with reserves down 5.2% in a month is a clear trend. Coins are leaving exchanges and active accounts are surging. That’s not just holding, that’s the network getting used. Supply tightening while activity grows is a good setup,” the commenter wrote.

If XRP continues leaving exchanges and remains in self-custody, the amount immediately available for trading on centralized platforms could decline. A sustained reduction in exchange liquidity could influence market conditions if buying demand increases.

For now, Xaif Crypto’s data presents two developments worth monitoring: Binance’s declining XRP reserves and rising XRP Ledger activity.
