Ethereum has attracted a $19.7 million whale purchase despite mounting selling pressure and significant withdrawals from U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs. According to Arkham blockchain data highlighted by Whale Alert, a major investor acquired 8,773.5 ETH at an average price of $2,245 despite Ethereum’s recent decline and substantial institutional outflows.
Ethereum Whale Expands Holdings With $19.7 Million Purchase
Blockchain records show that the investor has accumulated Ethereum across several months, including a major purchase earlier this year. According to Yujin Monitor, the same whale purchased 10,376 ETH in June at an average price of $1,626.
That earlier acquisition involved approximately $16.87 million, demonstrating the investor’s substantial exposure to Ethereum across different price levels. Following the latest acquisition, the wallet holds approximately 23,095 ETH, valued at $51.69 million based on reported market prices.
Meanwhile, Arkham identified another wallet, 0x4AB7, which withdrew 9,777 ETH worth approximately $22.5 million from Binance over the past week. Together, these transactions represent approximately $42.2 million in Ethereum purchases and exchange withdrawals during the reported periods. Meanwhile, exchange data recorded $18.32 million in net inflows on Saturday, suggesting additional ETH entered trading platforms.
Ethereum ETF Outflows Reach $365 Million as Price Loses Critical Support
Institutional activity presents a different picture, with U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recording approximately $365 million in weekly net outflows. Significantly, the final two trading sessions accounted for $193.2 million in withdrawals, reflecting substantial selling across investment products.
These outflows coincided with Ethereum’s November 5 decline, when the cryptocurrency dropped nearly 10% following a brief recovery. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez identified $2,385 as an important support level that Ethereum recently lost during the downturn.
According to Martinez, additional selling pressure could push ETH toward $1,963 if buyers fail to regain control. CoinMarketCap data placed Ethereum near $2,239, with immediate support between $2,200 and $2,220.
A sustained recovery above $2,300 could open the way toward the $2,400–$2,450 resistance zone. Despite substantial whale accumulation, Ethereum remains under pressure as institutional withdrawals and weak technical levels shape market conditions.
