ChatGPT says XRP will hit this price by December 31, 2026
XRP is entering the final two months of 2026 under pressure, struggling to regain key technical levels despite signs of continued institutional interest.
At press time, XRP was trading at $1.25, up approximately 0.3% over the past 24 hours.
At its current price, XRP is below both its 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) of $1.39 and its 200-day SMA of $1.28. This positioning indicates a bearish trend, with the token struggling to regain its short- and long-term moving averages.
The 50-day SMA represents immediate resistance, while the 200-day SMA is another key level XRP needs to reclaim to signal a potential trend reversal.
XRP price prediction
Now, according to ChatGPT’s price prediction, XRP could recover to $1.45 by December 31, 2026, representing a potential 16% increase from its November 1 price.
ChatGPT’s base-case forecast places XRP at $1.45 by year-end, although the model also outlines bearish and bullish scenarios depending on market conditions.
In the bearish scenario, XRP could fall to between $0.95 and $1.15 if Bitcoin (BTC) weakens further, exchange-traded fund (ETF) demand deteriorates, and the token loses its $1.20 support level.
Meanwhile, a more optimistic scenario places XRP between $1.70 and $2, provided the cryptocurrency market stages a stronger recovery, institutional inflows accelerate and XRP breaks through major resistance levels.
The base case, which carries a subjective probability of 50%, anticipates a recovery toward $1.35 to $1.55.
XRP’s immediate technical outlook remains weak. The $1.20 region represents an important support area, with a sustained breakdown potentially exposing the token to further losses toward $1.10 and eventually $0.95.
On the upside, reclaiming $1.30 would indicate that selling pressure is easing. A subsequent move above $1.40 could strengthen the recovery outlook and put the $1.50 to $1.55 range within reach.
A breakout above that resistance region would make ChatGPT’s more optimistic scenario of $1.70 to $2 increasingly plausible.
Factors that could drive XRP’s recovery
One factor supporting the forecast is the potential for renewed institutional demand through spot XRP ETFs. Although recent price weakness has raised concerns about market sentiment, sustained ETF inflows could provide additional buying pressure.
Ripple’s continued expansion into institutional financial services, including custody, banking infrastructure and its RLUSD stablecoin, could also strengthen the XRP ecosystem. However, increased activity across Ripple’s business does not necessarily translate into higher demand for XRP.
Broader cryptocurrency market conditions will also play an important role. Bitcoin’s performance could influence risk appetite across the altcoin market, potentially determining whether XRP can sustain a recovery through the end of 2026.
