Canton Strategic Holdings Plans Tokenized Trading of Its Own Shares on Canton Network

Canton Strategic Holdings (NASDAQ: $CNTN) plans to let its common shares trade in tokenized form on the Canton Network as early as Nov. 2, the company announced, calling it the first listing of its kind under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s new innovation exemption.

The tokenized shares would carry the same rights as the Nasdaq-listed stock but trade around the clock and settle instantly, making the listing an early test of the SEC’s September framework.

The company agreed to trade the shares on TSV LLC, a permissioned venue on the Canton Network, with SEC-registered transfer agent Fairmint issuing the tokens and keeping the official ownership record onchain. TSV plans to run an automated market maker, with trades settling atomically, so both sides of a trade transfer together or not at all.

Access will be controlled. Participants and their wallets must be approved before trading, including identity verification and sanctions screening, according to TSV, and the venue will pause for required stoppages, maintenance and volume limits. TSV described itself as the first tokenized securities venue to complete the notification process under the exemption, which the SEC issued Sept. 17.

Chairman and CEO Mark Wendland argued that tokenization “creates more efficient access to equity markets” for investors and greater transparency for issuers.

Canton Strategic Holdings, formerly the biotechnology company Tharimmune, shifted to digital assets in November 2025 after raising $545 million to build a business around Canton Coin (CRYPTO: $CC) . It changed its name in February. The company holds Canton Coin, operates as a Super Validator on the network and is a member of the Canton Foundation.

Despite the name, it is not the company behind the Canton Network, which Digital Asset developed, and the release notes that Digital Asset is not affiliated with or endorsed by the company.

Shares of Canton Strategic Holdings (NASDAQ: CNTN) are currently trading at $2.07, down from a 52 week hight of $6.89.
